At one time, the disciples <i>\u2018went out in the boat, but\u2026 caught nothing all night. At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn\u2019t see who He was. He called out, \u201cFellows, have you caught any fish?\u201d \u201cNo,\u201d they replied. Then He said, \u201cThrow out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you\u2019ll get some!\u201d So they did, and they couldn\u2019t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, \u201cIt\u2019s the Lord!\u201d\u2019<\/i> (John\u00a021:3\u20137\u00a0NLT) <\/p>\n<p> Notice three things: <\/p>\n<p>(1) <i>Jesus can do what you can\u2019t do.<\/i> As long as you think you can handle things on your own, He will let you try. As long as what worked for you in the past is still working, you won\u2019t reach for His help. It\u2019s only when you run out of answers you discover: <i>\u2018\u201cYou will not succeed by your own strength or\u2026 power, but by My Spirit,\u201d says the Lord.\u2019<\/i> (Zechariah\u00a04:6\u00a0NCV)  <\/p>\n<p>(2) <i>God can do more than you can do.<\/i> He told the disciples, <i>\u2018Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you\u2019ll get some!\u2019<\/i> It didn\u2019t sound right but, by obeying Him, they entered a level of blessing and abundance they never dreamed possible. <\/p>\n<p> (3) <i>God wants a relationship with you.<\/i> After eating breakfast with the disciples, Jesus told Peter, \u2018Take care of My sheep\u2019 (see\u00a0John\u00a021:17). Now fishermen don\u2019t take care of sheep\u2014shepherds do! So what just happened?
